“I wish to highly recommend Mr. Stuart MacLeod. Stuart travelled with me to Ethiopia to assist in my charity, the Ethiopian Food Appeal. He worked tirelessly to help students in a rural area of Ethiopia who have hunger issues. The charity delivers every year more than ten tons of food to 400 school children and thousands of books and supplies to more than 1,400 students. It also helps HIV/AIDS children. Not only did Stuart help with all the preparations relating to the delivery, he put together an excellent video and documentary of the work of the charity featuring the children it supports.

The video has been instrumental in helping the charity raise funds. It has been shown on the EFA website and we have received countless expressions of appreciation for it. We also use the video for our promotional purposes and during fundraising bazaars. In addition, the video was also featured at the Geneva Cinema Verite film festival.

Stuart is quiet, disciplined and very professional in his work. He has a keen eye and is determined to make an impact and a difference in everything he undertakes. He is to be commended for the video work he has already carried out in the Gambia, Ethiopia and India. He has a sense of adventure and is not afraid to get his "hands dirty" and his "feet wet" to get the job done. I would highly recommend him as a great addition to your organisation.”

"He has never been one to sit still with the same format and technology and is constantly updating and upgrading equipment."

I have worked with Stu for over 10 years and always found him someone who wants to do the best job possible with a clear focus on the people represented in film and audio alongside the demands of an international audience.

He has an innate ability to disappear in a room when filming so that people don’t really realise he is there taking photos or video which makes for excellent images and raw action. He has never been one to sit still with the same format and technology and is constantly updating and upgrading equipment from drones to 360 degree cameras and cable cams.

His work with me has stretched from Brighton to Dhaka and Mymensingh in Bangladesh, Cape Town, and Bangkok. This international travel work was of the highest standard and all those we met and filmed were so positive about Stu’s work and interaction with them – he just has a great and gentle way with people.

“I’ve been working with Stuart for over a decade. He’s been a huge asset to the charity".

We couldn’t imagine being without him as he’s so efficient and really hears the message we need portraying and gets it out there for us! If you’re considering hiring him, don’t hesitate- he’s a one of a kind!”

"I have had the pleasure of knowing Stuart about 12 years now"

John Baxter, Managing Director, Dinostore & Sussex Access Maintenance

“I have had the pleasure of knowing Stuart about 12 years now. I would class him as a friend as well as a business associate. He has done a number of promotional videos for us for various businesses and also did a accompanying video to my 40th birthday party.

His attention to detail and professionalism shines through in the final product.  I will continue to use him,  and recommend him continuously  to others.  We will be inlisting his services for a promotional video for our swimming pool company, and I also hope to get him to do a accompanying film for our wedding in 2027!”

Working with Stu over 10 years has been eye-opening.

Silvia Capezzuoli, Senior consultant, IMA International

“Working with Stu over 10 years has been eye-opening. When developing training materials and resources, I would provide Stu with a sketch or a drawing of what I imagined, and he was able to consistently produce bespoke high quality visual content (graphics, maps, whiteboard animations) for diverse courses and organisational contexts. In recent years he successfully converted our static training content into online courses, managing the LMS aspects, and ensuring participants experienced a smooth learning journey.

He can silently and unobtrusively be present in any in-person workshop/training setting and take very personable photos and short videos which honestly capture participants' engagement in the training process. He sensitively knows what to zoom in on, be it two people having an intense content conversation; critical flipchart, post it and card outputs of group activities; participant presentations; celebrations and fun moments.......

Participants from all over the world love to have these photos and videos as a memory. In tailored workshops, multiple clients have appreciated having videos that they can then post on their websites and social media.

Personally, as a facilitator, I have often used Stu's photos when producing training reports for clients and as a mental record for myself when preparing upcoming similar work.”

“Stu’s been a trusted member of the Visual Vybe Productions team for the past 15 years.

Alex Lawton, Managing Director, Visual Vybe Productions

“Stu’s been a trusted member of the Visual Vybe Productions team for the past 15 years. He’s reliable, works hard and always brings a creative vision to every project he’s involved with. I couldn’t recommend Stu highly enough!”

“For several years I have experience with Stu’s videoing and photography as a musician. Stu has worked wonders designing and filming several music videos for the rock band I’m in"

Phil Johnstone, Lead singer/guitarist, The Qwarks

“For several years I have experience with Stu’s videoing and photography as a musician. Stu has worked wonders designing and filming several music videos for the rock band I’m in, where he showed creative flare in helping us come up with ideas and seeing through our creative vision in a patient and highly efficient manner. He has a range of great gear that brings variety to the videos – including 3 cameras, drones, excellent computer-based animation tools – that has brought every video to life in unique ways.

Thanks to Stu’s videos and photography, we managed to get tens of thousands of more views on our pages than we would have done. Stu has filmed many live shows and photographing these events and has captured our band’s journey and story from live show action to behind the scenes, which we’ve been able to share with our fans and spread the word.

Our pages are full of content captured by Stu from festival appearances to headline shows, and our single and album covers are also captured by Stu. Stu’s vision has been a key part of our band and we come back every time for his vision, creativity, photographic eye, competitive rates, and fast turnaround time. Highly recommended!”

"Clearly dedicated to his work and interest in issues of international development and human justice."

"Stuart Macleod undertook a voluntary work placement at Global Education Derby (GED) as part of his final year studies on the BA (Hons) Third World Development degree at the University of Derby.

Whilst on placement, Stuart undertook a project to devise a promotional film about the work of GED for use at events, training and to promote us as a placement agency to other students. The film, which can be seen on our website and on YouTube, is of very good quality and GED are proud to be able to use this within our work and are grateful to Stuart. Stuart also got involved in everyday activities related to the organisational operation of GED to gain a clearer understanding of the ins and outs of working for and running a small voluntary sector organisation.

During his placement with us, Stuart proved himself to be a very likable and pleasant member of the staff team and clearly dedicated to his work and interest in issues of international development and human justice."
